Fostering civic engagement for green track

There is a high perception in Europe that citizens are not doing enough for tackling environmental challenges. To meet the European Green Deal goals and to be the first climate-neutral continent, Europe needs to shift the focus from solutions and innovations at business and social levels to initiatives that support active citizen engagement in environmental issues.

Therefore, the CivicGreen project aims to address the lack of civic engagement education targeting adult education to boost individuals’ action on climate change and environmental protection, through an innovative approach that places the responsibility on citizens by providing them with knowledge, methodologies and tools to act on climate change.
