In today’s world, young people face several obstacles to become active economic, civic, and social agents. The high unemployment rates and lack of job prospects cause demotivation and insecurities in this demographic group.
Considering this scenario, the E-MENTORING project aims to develop the digital competences of mentors working with youth through innovative online solutions. This approach moves mentoring into the virtual world with which youngsters are acquainted, and supplements face-to-face interactions with information and communication technologies-based communications, seeking to strength the relations between mentors and mentees and helping young people to take a socioeconomic part in their communities.
