In the 21st century, women still shoulder a heavier burden of unpaid domestic labour when compared to their male peers. Their underrepresentation in industry sectors that offer more competitive salaries and in upper management positions makes them more vulnerable to unemployment situations and less likely to risk their financial security to increase their job satisfaction.
The EMPOWERED project creates a training programme to equip women with digital skills to better navigate the labour market and with soft skills to better endure daily psychological strains. All in all, it is expected that targeted women develop some of their technical competences and improve their notion of self-worth.
