Promoting and Tracking Environmental Sustainability in VET
About
As relevant policy changes towards a more environmental-friendly attitude, and a greener economy, are being implemented, as for example the European Union’s climate neutrality target by 2050, a new set of “green skills” are becoming an emerging need linked to existing and future jobs.
The EnviroVET project has as its strategic focus to strengthen the skills and knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions and professionals on environmental issues, so that they can become true agents of environmental change.

Activities
- Compilation of best practices, case studies and success stories related with the implementation of green initiatives in the VET sector
- Creation of an environmental charter that sets the minimum requirements that VET institutions need to adopt environmental-friendly procedures and processes
- Production of an online environmental impact measurement tool to evaluate the carbon footprint of a VET institution
- Development of an online course for VET professionals on environmental issues, so they can act as mentors for their learners and deliver change within their institutions
