About
There is still a long way to go before women achieve true parity. The gap varies from country to country, but shortfalls are still very apparent. Throughout Europe, women are under-represented, and this is significantly higher among women t migrant background.
The New Opportunities for Women (NOW) project has as its strategic focus to contribute to the promotion of migrant women in leadership positions and to their places in society.

Activities
- Produce a collection of women leaders’ role models to share biographies, give real-world examples and inspire migrant women
- Creation of a massive open online course (MOOC) and a multilingual Community of Practice (CoP), thus offering flexible learning and a set of resources on leadership, as well as a sharing path with other migrant women, leaders and mentors
- Develop a bespoke mentoring cycle programme to equip future mentors in providing continuous mentoring support to migrant women in career development planning as well as in navigating the complex challenges they face every day, in the workplace
- Implement pilot trials and mentoring cycles
- Engage associated partners, stakeholders and decision- and policy-makers, through dissemination and scaling actions to mainstream and deploy NOW, including the organisation of the final seminar in Lisbon in September 2021
