Retrofitting Green Elements into existing VET provision
About
The transition to a greener economy, based on current policy changes such as the European Union’s climate neutrality target by 2050, requires a new set of green skills and knowledge and tasks involved in many of the future jobs.
The RetroVET project strategically focuses on strengthening the green skills and knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions and professionals, so that they can support the fight against climate change and benefit from an environmentally sustainable approach of their institutions.

Activities
- Production of a handbook with best practices, methodologies, and techniques on green skills integration by VET institutions
- Creation of an interactive benchmarking tool on green skills for VET institutions, to assess their adoption level of a green approach based on best practices of other VET institutions
- Development of an online peer exchange platform among VET institutions, targeting their specific needs and capabilities
- Development of an online course for VET professionals on green skills, so they can act as mentors for their learners and deliver change within their institutions
