Advancing vocational competences in soft skills for IT professionals
About
The objective of “SayIT” project is the strengthening of key competences in initial and continuing VET for IT professionals through reinforcing their soft skills and making them more qualified and competitive on a professional level. This is expected to improve their career opportunities and professional behaviours, as well as increase their satisfaction from working in a professional environment.
The project is also expected to have an impact on an increased awareness of the importance of soft skills among IT professionals, contributing towards a shift in the perceived qualities of a successful and valuable IT professional on the labour market.

Activities
- Creation of a soft skills curriculum for IT professionals, structured in five competency-based modules: i) communication skills, ii) problem solving skills, iii) teamwork skills, iv) organisational skills, and v) Interpersonal skills.
- Development of a soft skills trainer app, based on the visual novel innovative learning methodology that put IT professionals into simulated environment, test their reactions and provide them with relevant learning resources for the development of the abovementioned soft skills.
